Main Idea: Jesus calls us to help the marginalized and needy in
our communities.
To help the marginalized and needy in our communities we must:
1. Have hearts and hands ready for action. v. 13a
• We must be the hands and feet of Jesus to those who are
hurting and broken.
❖ Galatians 6:2-5 & 1 Timothy 6:18
2. Identify the Invisible v. 13b
• We need to identify the marginalized and needy in our
communities.
❖ Proverbs 28:27 & Psalm 41:1
3. Expect a harvest of healing and transformation. v. 14
• Blessing the broken and needy can lead to transformation
and healing.
❖ Blessing others:
✓ Restores dignity and hope.
✓ Breaks cycles of despair.
✓ Builds community and connection.

✓ Inspires a pay-it-forward mentality.

To bless our communities:
1. We must guard against selfish ambition and vain conceit (empty glory).
