1 Thessalonians 5:12-24

1. Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians was a letter of encouragement and challenge.

     - The Thessalonians weren’t doing anything wrong. In fact, they were people of great faith.

2. God’s grace empowers the believer to lean into the sanctified life.

     - The business of life can cause present day believers to have a good enough mentality when it comes to faith, but God’s grace empowers us to move past that.

3. According to James 3, the words that we say can indicate the intent of our hearts.

     - A Sanctified heart produces fruitful words, while a wicked heart is overtaken by the tongue.
